Patient education and consent - New approaches in 360°

Our 360° approach means that couples and their needs are always at the center. This includes actively listening to patients in personal conversations, addressing their individual desires, and presenting personalized treatment options accordingly.

On the other hand, general medical disclosure obligations and the Swiss Reproductive Medicine Act also require a series of formal information steps before any possible treatment.

The challenge lies in ensuring consistent high-quality levels of both individualized counseling and comprehensive information within the available time frame.

As part of our multi-stage personal and digital education and consent process, each patient is assigned individually tailored e-learning modules (eLearn) and consent forms (eSign) through a cloud-based platform. They can view and sign these modules on their laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

This allows patients to learn the basics of the different treatment steps online from the comfort of their homes. As a result, the time spent in the clinic can focus on the specifics of the treatment plan and address each patient's individual questions. It is particularly valuable for all parties involved when patients come to important consultations already informed and prepared, leading to a more productive shared time.

Simultaneously, the 360° team is available for supplementary support through phone, video, or in-person contact, in addition to regular counseling consultations, whenever patients require it. This approach combines the best of both worlds.
